I’m the kinda brilliant brain behind all this. As a sport and performance psychologist my mission is to help people in sport and in business find their purpose and their passion, and overcome their barriers to success. Whatever success looks like for them.
I have a MSc in Experimental Psychology, a MSc in Sport and Exercise Psychology and a certificate in Counselling NCFE Award.
I founded Kinda Brilliant because I want to help you reach your potential. And, more importantly, enjoy the process. You don’t have to be brilliant. Frankly, the pursuit of brilliance can be exhausting. But kinda brilliant? We can all achieve that, with a bit of help.
Hello, I’m Charlotte
My career
I have worked as a sports journalist, content consultant and presenter for over 20 years. During this time I have been lucky enough to interview and work with Olympic athletes, sporting legends and business leaders.
Turns out, even the world’s greatest performers and business minds suffer from performance anxiety and imposter syndrome. But they have the necessary tools and techniques to overcome this.
In a bid to better understand these processes I headed back to university to train as a sport and performance psychologist. I wanted to learn about what I love.
I now work with athletes of all ages and abilities, as well as business people and organisations, giving them the support and tools they need to overcome their barriers to being kinda brilliant.

From a young age, crippling nerves and low self-esteem prevented me from fulfilling my potential. This was exacerbated by a lack of support and understanding from my trainer. Sports pyschology didn’t exist back then. I was told to suck it up, and kick on…
What started out as a fun activity soon became filled with anxiety and fear. And those thought patterns and behaviour stayed with me for the next three decades.
I often managed to control my nerves once in the arena and perform well, but I never fully enjoyed the experience. I simply didn’t trust my ability. And I didn’t have the tools to perform under pressure. Until now…
Since becoming a sport and performance psychologist I have turned my own competitive career around.
I stepped up a level in eventing and achieved consistent competitive success. But best of all I have been enjoying competing and started to believe in my ability.
I am now helping my clients achieve the same…
